Simplicity
Nova Scotia
One of principles of design; dominance. This was taken during my road trip last year summer of 2014 at Sydney waterfront in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is nothing special other than the fact that I used to play the violin and I do regret quitting, but then again I do and did realize that I did not have to play it in order to appreciate the music. Considering my age not many in my generation listen to classical music and I adore those who do appreciate this type of music because now-a-days people in my generation listen to "rap crap" non-sense. It is not that I do not like to listen to the current phase this generation is in which is hip hop and all that, some of them are quite good, but I truly would prefer classical over any other genres. Aside from that, this creates a successful image because of the colour and how the violin stands out, I mean how could it not it is the biggest thing in the photograph.
Autumn
One of principles of design; rhythm. This is image was taken during autumn, the trees were red-orange and it creates a great contrast with the green grass. I feel that this a some what successful photograph because this side walks just highlights the tress and the trees it-self creates rhythm obviously.
Ripley's Aquarium
One of elements of design; colour. I feel that this image is very successful if you think otherwise then I suggest looking at somebody else's portfolio. Anyways I think that because looking this image makes you feel like you are in the tank with the jellyfishes, as well as the different shades of blue (light to dark). Colour matters in every picture unless of course you prefer to do black and white images, then that is your choice. But for me I think that colour matters because if the colour in the image was to bright and harsh to the eyes then that would make the person think that it is not that appealing of an image nor a successful one. Just little things a photographer must really be careful with when taking pictures because one thing such as a the colour.
Isolated.
One of elements of design; space. This is very gloomy as well as sad in away because of the grey clouds in the back ground. Yeah it is only a big light (an object) but still, something that is centered and isolated with a really gloomy aspect to it can make an individual feel sadness and this is what this image is creating.
